Marmorino and Venetian History
Marmorino and Venetian plaster have used as far back as roman times. But was made popular once more during the renaissance 500 years ago in Venice.
Venetian and Marmorino both use marble stone within the lime putty. Marmorino uses slightly large marble particles to give a surface that glistens, even before the "burnish" process.
Today, there are many names for Venetian plaster, which include: Polished plasters and Marbled plasters, mainly becuase of the finishes the look, can achieve. all finishes can be smooth, shiny, and very marble like.
